Southern Railway - Pay scales that apply to class III and class IV pre-31 personnel who are transferred from one unit to another and have not chosen the specified scales on the integrated railway. It was decided that protection should be granted for the number of posts that were there in each unit on the merger date. Deciding that senior men in each merged unit should be promoted to the number of positions that were open on the integration date, and that all employees (e.g., M & S.M., ex. S.I., etc.) should be arranged in a compartmental queue according to seniority
