In place of the current post in grade I of the stenographer service with special pay of Rs. 50/- from 1.5.57 to 31.3.58, a temporary ex cadre post of Supervisor of Stenographer in Railway Service Class I with scale of Rs. 530-30-800 is created, and Shri K.D. Khanna is appointed to it. 2. Based on the departmental Promotion Committee's recommendations, the UPSC approved Shri K.D. Khanna's off-group promotion. 3. As of 11.3.58, the title Supervisor of Stenographers was replaced with Section Officer (Stenographers). 4. After consulting with the UPSC, the ex-cade job for stenographers was made permanent as of 20.8.60
