Proposal from the I.G., C.R.P. that the C.R.P. personnel should be made eligible for Meritorious Service' and 'Long Service and Good Conduct' Medals instituted for the Armed Forces or a separate medal should be instituted for the C.R.P. Decision that these medals have been instituted exclusively for Armed Forces viz, Army Navy and Air Force CRP Personnel are not eligible for them and that as the C.R.P. are regarded as a Police Force its members are eligible for the President's Police and Fire Services and Police Medals and as such there is no need for instituting a separate medal for C.R.P
