Extracts of recommendations No. 35 of Appendix VIII of thirty first report of the Estimates Committee, 1955-56. The function of F.A. and C.A.O. should be bifurcated and there should be two separate heads of departments, viz, Chief Accounts officer and Financial Adviser. Replied that whereas for the various reason (as explained in detail) it is not considered desirable to bifurcate the Financial Adviser's duties and the internal check duties between two heads of Departments. Care is taken to see that relief is afforded to the F.A. and C.A.O. sby other means wherever necessary
