Representation from the European Association, Calcutta, suggesting that the Code of Criminal Procedure should be amended so as to provide; that on the analogy of the provisions contained in the Bankers Books Evidence Act, 1891 (XVIII of 1891), some restriction should be placed on the power of the criminal courts to call for the books of a mercantile firm.
