Local governments have made the decision that no official appointments should be made to the Indian Educational Service until they have full control over their provincial and subordinate services. They have also decided that cases in which Indian Educational Service posts have been vacant for reasons other than financial constraints should be reported to the Government of India for regularisation of the position.
