To allow officers of the South Persia Rifles to exercise certain disciplinary powers over consular escorts, an addition to Rule 5 of the rules for the employment of Indian Cavalry detachments as consular guards in Persia was requested. This request was made to the Depurty Chief Political Officer in Basra.
