Edmonstone, Chief Secretary to Govt. at Fort William.Conveys intelligence received from the agent in Bundelkhand; corroborates the accounts of the predatory lonse being in large force near Rewa territory with the intention of entering the British Borders. Reports the arrival of 2nd squadrons of the 8th Regiment of native cavalry in 2 or 3 days. Also informs the intention of the Rewa Raja regarding measure adopted fro supply Lt. Col. Plumer’s detachment with provision. PP.10.
