Loss of an opium chest in transit from Poona to Sholapur which in Railway custody.Government of Bombay informed that the loss should be borne by the Provincial Excise Department and written off under their orders. Alteration of the existing accounting procedure for relation to opium and decision that Provinces should pay finally for the opium as soon as they obtain delivery from the Factory.
