Increase with effect from the 1st April, 1917:- (i) From 3½ to 6 percent in the rate of interest allowed on the case balances of the Bengal and Bombay un-covenanted Service Family pension funds. (ii) From 4 to 5½ percent in the rate of interest allowed in the cash balances of the Bombay un-covenanted Service family pension fund in respect of members admitted after the 12th November, 1900. (iii) Decision that in future the interest on that portion of these funds which bears interest at the market rate will be fixed with reference to the rate at which government borrows in the open markets.
