With refce. to letter No. 19 J.E. d 1st Augt/78 enquires whether it is intended that acknowledgments of receipt of the Insignia of the Order of the Indian Empire, as also Covenants for the restoration of the same on death, should be obtained from the gentlemen who have been appointed members of the Order.
