With effect from March 30, 1927, Assistant Surgeon E.T. Garthwaite, I.M.D., Senior Assistant Surgeon and Quarantine Medical Officer, Bushire, has been granted a year of combined leave. J.E. Sweeney, I.M.D., a 2nd Class Assistant Surgeon, has been posted to Bushire as a Senior Quarantine Medical Officer with effect from March 30, 1927, and as a Junior Quarantine Medical Officer with effect from April 19, 1927. In these situations, it is decided that leave starts the day that responsibility for the duties is turned over. Bushire's duties as Junior Quarantine Medical Officer will be resumed by 3rd Class Assistant Surgeon C.E. Hynes, I.M.D., with effect from April 20, 1927.
