The State Acquisition of Lands for Union Purposes (Validation) Act, 1954 (23 of 1954), was passed to legalise the acquisition of lands for Union purposes by certain State governments under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, after the Constitution's inception and before the necessary powers under the Act were granted to them.
