With reference to mily. despt. ltr. no .314 of the 12th Jan., 1856 reprots tha the servies of Captain Pater as an extra Asst. in the Dept. of the Adjt. genl. of the army have been dispensed with form the 1st Feb., 1856 and Captain Paton has reproted his departure accordingly.
