Genl. of the army no. 5 dated 10th Jan. 1856 - In submitting an application form captain Clarkson 44th N.I. station staff at Dinapore to be granted to the allowances of a Bde. Major for the estra duties devoling for on him obseves that as a station staff and not a bde. Major has bee appointed to the station of Dinapore the C. in c. doees not considera Captain C's claim galid.
