In reply to your letter no 23 of the 31st may last Iam directed to acquaint you that the Govt . General order no 577 of the 15th july 1853. was not intended to cancel art 4 section xvII of the code of 1849. by which native Establishments with European Detachments which have no Quater master are paid by the Commissariat Department.
