In repoly to mily dept. lr. no. 362 of the 11st sept. last states that on a reference to the adjt. Genl. of the army finds 9 of the 10 Regt. of not regular cavalry to be arried with old pattern sabres and not with hte straight swards used by H. M.'s cavy.
