In returning the original enclosures of his letter no. 875, of the 27th June 1856, His directed to inform him that the Right Honble the Governor General in COuncil is pleased to authorize the sum of Rs. 19-6-0 being passed as equivalent for Bullock Train hire from Ferozepore to Calcutta to discharged Gunner J.K. Stacy, late of the 4th Company 6th Battalion Artillery, who is proceeding by water to Bombay, but as the Gunner enlishted in India, passage to England at the expense of the state cannot be granted.
