With reference to a Leter from the Ofr. commdg the Sappers and Mienrs stating that it is the intention of govt that Recruits enlisted for sapper and miners after the 1st septr. should be Engaged only on condr. fo theri agreing to proceed beyond sea as genl.service soldiers and Reqeustign that orders may accordingly be issued to the ofr. comdg. the Corps.
