Memorialist was specially recommends for promotion to a warrant in the year 1834, by the then principal commissary of ordunance colonel George swiney with a view to his being appoionted as the person best fitted tofill the post of permanent conductor then Vacant with arsenal of Fort William which appointment memorialist held for 19 years.
