Governor of - With reference to 3rd Para of letter dated 19th November to extend Section XXVI of Act XXVIII of 1857 to the Straits Settements states that on a Closer study of that section it has convinced him that it is not suited to or intended cause considerable apprehension in the place - Section XXXVI has not been extenrded as there is are Call for any act if indemniting.
