Memorial of Elhas Hassan Beg - An Artillery Officer in the Turkish Army. - States that he arrive here in April 1857 & brought with him 1000 Sovereegins of English money which he invested in precious stones with which he took passage per P & O Company Steamer Ava with the intention of returning home that the week of the Ava deprived him of every thing save a suit of cloths but as there was some hope of saving the passages baggage that he remained at # # # # # ## ## .
