To Secretary Bombay - With reference to above Communicates the views of this Governments on the Rules submitted therewith for grants in aid of Education but if that Government is desirous of putting forth as provisional Rules sanctioned by the Government of India rules so much in detail Authorizes their adoption after making the Amendments pointed out herein and as more but Provisional rules can get be settled advises that Government to follow the Example of the other Governments by putting forth now none but very general rules founded on the Courts Dis: with liberty to adopt for the present further rules of detail not in consistent therewith if thought proper. Forwards Copies of the Madras. Bengal and N.W.P. Ruleson the subject with the remark that Rule 3 of the N.W. P. Government has been preferred to the Corresponding Bengal Rule.
