From Secretary - with reference to letter of the 5th August 1840 and 17th February last forwareds copy of one from the Military Board and the Statemetns therein alluded to shewing the total expendrtire on accomt of the Dawh line of Road between Ahmednuggur & Nagpore and explains how the excess over the sum sanctioned on the 29th August 1839 occurred.
