Acknowledges the receipt of letters noted, and in -states that the matters in connecion with the amendment of Act XIII. of 1864, noticed in the Despatch from the Secretary of State are under consideration by the Lt. Govr. and that His Honor`s views will be submitted to the Govt. of India as early as practicable.
