With reference to this Office No. 2167, dated the 11th instant, requests that on all Occasions on which the resignation of an appointment by a Military Officer is accepted by the Civil Government, that Department may be informed of the exact circumstances under which such resignation was tendered and accepted, and gives the reasons for making this request.
