From Mr. Surgeon G. G. McPherson - In reply to the foregoing. States that he is unalbe to refer to the order by which 100 Rs. acting allowance is granted, but presumes there is one as the claim is duly acknowledged by the Civil Auditor - as a precedent mentions the case of Mr. Surgeon Savage who acted for Mr. Smith on leave at the Cape in 1824.
