To Post Master General - In reply. In reply to letters of 31st August and 17th Ultimo relative to transferring to the Collectors & Magistrates the duty of Superintending Dawks in the interior. Transmits copy of the foregoing from the Secretary to the Governor General conveying His Lordships final opinion on the subject. The appointment of Mr. Campbell at Jellasore not necessary - sanctions an outlay of 130 Rs. for the construction of a Dawk House at Mynpooree.
