From In reply - Report the erection of Mile Stones on the road from Calcutta to Meeurt effected as far as Benares at an expense of Sum of Rs. 2947-2 - The Mil Stores from Benares to Meernt is estimated at Sum Rs. 2154-9-6. of which the Post Post Master General has advanced 500 recommend as assigument in favor of Captain Jeffreys for the balance St. Rs. 1654-9-6.
