Mr. Jas Atkinson examiner in Hindoostany - States that the Military Auditor General has retrenched his half Batta & gratuity as an Assistant Surgeon retrospectively from July 1818 a measure which has involved him in a debt to Government of about 2000 Rs. solicits that he may be placed on a footing with the other Officers of the College & that he may be exnorated from so large a retrenchment.
