To Marine Committee - In reply to the above two letters - Not deemed expedient to purchase the premises as suggested by Lieut.Minchin for an Office - that Officers conduct on the occassion of the loss of His Magisty Ship Carron satisfactory - the stores saved from the wreck of Carron to remain under the charge of Lieut.Minchin until the wishes of the Naval Commissioner at Trincomalie shall be known.
