Acquainting that Government have restored the salary of the Presidency Secretary to the Governer General to its former standard ViztSalary Rs. 50,000 for annual from the 4th October 1813/ subject to the approval of the Court of Directors adverts to the appointmetnts of Mr. Ricketts on the 17th November as Principal Presidency Secretary & Mr. Thomson Presidency Secretary to his Lordship & States that it is intended those gentlemen such Proportions as the Governer General may be Personally please to dviest.
