Letter: from Col. Matthew Leslie reporting that he demanded of Capt. Erskine the refund of sicca rupees 14,947,8-11 charged to his account as overpaid enclosing Capt. Eraskine s reply promising to inofrm them of the particulars of the dispute regarding the difference of batta as arose in the payment of the Vizier s troops acquainting them that Mr. Middleton will adjust this dispute with Mr. Oliver the present paymaster and intimating that orders will be issued to prevent the misinterpretation of the Board s orders.
