Copy of a letter from Mr.Edward Wheler to Sir Edward Hughes, Commander -in-Chief of his majesty fleet in theEast Indies, requesting him to take measures for the protection of vessles trading between Calcutta and Madras from the French privateers transmitting a letter from M. Ross , late Governor at Chinsura and desiring him to return if possible the prisoners at Fort St. George, as per the enclsed list from M. Ross.
