Extract from a Letter dated War Office, the 11th September, 1783, from theRight Hon ble Richard Fitzpatrick, His Majestys Secretary for war, [ to Major General Campbell ], stating that His Majesty has been pleased to grant on option to the officers and men of his disbanded regiments in India either to re-enlist in his remaining regiments there or to enter the Companys service, provided that no greater inducements are offered in the latter case.
