Letter from Mr.Charles Bentley,[Acting Chief of Chittagong] , enclosing particulars of rice and paddy exported, and their retail prices there during the late famine, reporting that in spite of the extraordinary dearness of grain preceeding the August crop in 1770 the usual accompaniments were not discernible, and enclosing copies of 2 letters from Messrs Sheeles and Barton about the exports of rice from the Luckipore and Colinda aurungs.
