Letter from the President and Council of Fort St.George, suggesting that their letters of the 18th and 30th June explained why they withheld the surrender of the of the assignment for a short time, intimating their great neeed of money , enclosing a copy of a letter from Lieut.Auchmuty, Deputy Judge Advocate, and copies of correspondence with Lieut Gen Sir John Dalling relating to the proceedings of the late Court Martial upo Sir John Burgoyne, and disiring that a copy of those proceedings should be placed with the records of their Presidency.
