Copy of a letter from Messrs. J. L. Chauvet and C. Shakespear to the Chief and Council at Fredericksnagore, intimating that they are awaiting a reply to the letter from the Governor General in Council, and stating that they will proceed to Serampore to take charge of Mr. Cotton on receipt thereof.
