Letter from the President and Council of Bombay, stating that they are collecting information on the proposal to make remittances to Bombay in Calcutta gold Mohurs, giving some shipping intelligence, stating that they have entered into a contract wiht the Raja of Travancore for the supply of pepper, requesting payment for a part of their estimates for 1788-89, and a sum placed in their Treasury on Account of a deceased persons estate, asking for instructions regarding the liquidation of a debt due to the estate of J.Watson, transmitting the account of Mr.J.Wilkinson, reporting what they have done to compensate Mr.Wood for his loss, stating that they will send some trees and seeds, and forwarding certain registers of bills and other accounts.
