Orders on the recommendation of the Comptroller General for the issue at once of the duplicates of certain Government Promissory Notes which were lost in 1897 from the custody of the District Judge of Tanjore, without waiting for the expiration of the prescribed period of six years from the date of last advertisement of the loss. Discussion of the question regarding the protection afforded to Government under section 13(b) of the Indian Securities Act (XIII of 1886), if the rule requiring the interval of six years were waived.
