Rejection of a proposal that a stamp duty of one anna only should be charged upon each fire insurance policy issued or re-issued and Local Governments asked for their opinoin on the proposed re-adjustment of the stamp duty on fire insurance policies so as to make it proportionate, not to the amount of the policy, but to the premium payable on the latter.
