Decision that, as a war measure, with effect from the 1st April 1942, the posts of Assistant Secretary, Supdt., Assistant, Stenographer, clerk and inferior servants in the newly created Secretariat Department of the Govt. of India will carry the old rates of pay for those who would have been entiled to them if they had been serving in corresponding post in any of the older Departments and the revised scales of pay for those who would not have been so entitled.
