Enquiry whether a policy, the proceeds of which on maturity, in the event of the death of the subscriber are payable to his wife as beneficiary, is one which can be adopted under Note 2 below Rule 21(II) of the General Provident Fund Rules; and the A.G., Posts and Tels., informed that for the purpose of the Rule, the name of beneficiary should be specifically mentioned in the policy.
