Secretary of State informed that the remission of countervailing duties on sugar sanctioned in this Departments Notification No. 7249, S.R., dated the 2nd December 1903, applies to sugar refined in the United Kingdom from raw sugar produced after the 31st August 1903 and that, for purposes of certification of such sugar, it would suffice if the refiners declared the date of production of the raw sugar.
