Messrs. Blundell Spence & Co. informed that the fees are levied for the selection and testing of samples of petroleum under the Indian Petroleum Act, 1899, and that no fees are ordinarily levied on account of analysis or testing under the Sea Customs Act, 1878, or the Indian Merchandise Marks Act, 1899.
