With reference to Govt. orders conveyed in letter, No. 613, dated 10th April last, reports that Captain J.H. Grant was relieved of his uties in charge of the Nagpore Division Survey by Lieutenant J.W.Taylor on the 19the May last. Submits a further report relative to Captain Grants mismanagement of his duties, together with correspondence, in original, respecting certain unadjusted balances standing him. Recommends that Captain Macdonald be appointed to the Nagpore Division survey, and that Captain Grant be permitted to tender his resignation from the survey Dept. as soon as his services can be dispensed with. Reports Mr. Vyalls transfer from the Central Provinces to one of the Bengal Surveys.
