In reply to this Office No. 3752, dated 17tyh August last, states that Nga Ran Daw, one of the four prisoners who escaped from Port Blair after having made an attack upon the Botanist there, has been sentenced to transportation for life. The other three were life convicts, and, therefore, their previous sentences could not be enhanced.
