Petitions for mercy from Gujarati Mal and Kesar Mal, sentenced to death in the Hafizabad Rioting case by the special commission at Lahore, appointed under the Martial Law Ordinance 1919. Commutation of the sentences of death passed on the prisoners to one of transportation for life.
